She admitted to her husband that she was actually pregnant when they met. The son he thought was his own was from another man.

My daughter-in-law is a fearless woman. I hadn’t found anything in my grandson in common with my son since he was born, but I kept my mouth shut, not thinking that my speculation would make anyone’s life better. I’m sure my sister-in-law wasn’t going to admit it, and it would have been a secret until she was old, but Ben had been acting lewdly lately. He is always at work or with friends, he does not want to help with the child, and he pulls money out of us, his parents, and his wife. She was fed up with this behavior and during one of her arguments she confessed that the grandson was not his son at all. She was already pregnant when they were dating. Everything spiraled so quickly between them, the wedding, followed by the birth. Ben never had any doubts that the son was his, and he turned a blind eye to all the differences. Up to the point where he didn’t believe his wife and took the boy to get tested.

After confirming the test, he packed his bags and went back to his father and me. He’s always frowning and brooding, he doesn’t know what to do with this information. And I tell him, “Nothing!”

Who cares whose kid it is anymore? The father doesn’t have to be by blood. The main thing is that he loves the boy, cares for him, and raises him, and that’s the kind of father he was for the last six years, until he started putting men’s company before family.

I’m not surprised that my sister-in-law confessed in anger. At least he’s not stealing her purse now, living apart. And I keep telling Ben to get his head together and come back to the family as a normal man. But how can you prove something to a thirty-year-old man? He sticks his neck out and thinks his whole life was a lie and that his grandson can’t be considered his son under any circumstances…
