The only thing I remember about my father was his quarrels with my mother. We lived in a small apartment at the time. We lived very modestly, even poorly, Mom was at work every day, and Dad always found a lot of reasons to be jealous.

And Mom laughed at the seller’s joke. Dad just stood up and looked at Mom angrily. When we came home, he gave her a showdown: he yelled so much that all the neighbors could hear, and then he even raised his hand at her.
Then someone told him a ridiculous joke about me not being his daughter. My father believed it unquestioningly. The fact is that I got all my outward traits from my mother, nothing at all from my father.
As soon as I turned 12, my father decided to leave me and my mother. After my father left the family, we had almost no money to live on. He wasn’t even going to pay child support, and my mother didn’t want to sue him. Because of the difficult situation in the family, my mother found another second job. We continued to live poorly, but we survived.
After I graduated from school, I made every effort to go to a good institute. Subsequently I managed to find a promising job, I was lucky to marry well. Now my mother and I live well, there is no point in saving money.
Recently I got a message on social networks… My father wrote to me. He really wants to maintain a relationship with me, asks that I give him my contact number. Honestly, I don’t know what I should do. Some close friends advise me to give him a second chance, to talk, to listen to what he has to say. And I’m not sure if I want to see him at all.
He became a complete stranger to me. I haven’t told my mother about what my father wrote to me, I don’t want her to be nervous. I do not even know how to act in this situation.
