I own a small plot outside of town. I do not plant anything on it, but just relax in my spare time. I do not want to spend energy on the care of the vegetable garden. I put there a barbecue to grill meat, a gazebo for sitting and shelter from the rain. And in the near future I planned to build a bathhouse and install a fence around my property.
So I went there to roast kebab, drink delicious tea and a break from the bustle of the city. My neighbors were normal, not troubled and not chatty. Only one neighbor sometimes bugged me. All the time she wondered how I live without crops in general. On her site, just across the street all densely planted with all sorts of seedlings and flowers, with which she fiddled all day long.
Since there was no fence between our plots for the time being, my neighbor could sometimes come to me without any embarrassment. Frankly, I did not like it. Sometimes I just drive up to my plot and see her there, all she was walking around and looking at something.
I asked her:
– What’s wrong?
– No. I was looking where you could plant onions. You have so much free space, and you still do not grow anything. I think maybe I’ll plant something. You wouldn’t mind, would you?
I didn’t even know what to say to that from a mild shock. I did not want to offend her, I thought about it and answered:
– You can plant one bed.
Later, I was not happy that I allowed it. Half a day she was fiddling with my plot and wouldn’t let me relax, her presence stressed me out. Now she’ll probably start coming here all the time, checking her bow. I think, okay, it’s already allowed.
After work, finally it was my turn to go on vacation, and I went to the sea, but I forgot about this little thing. When I got home, the first weekend I went straight to my property. And how I was surprised when I saw a greenhouse and a few more beds of cucumbers and tomatoes on my property.
I knew exactly who did it, so I did not have to ask my neighbors. It pissed me off, so I decided it was time to call it a day. Asked a friend to help, we went the same day to the construction store and fenced the area with mesh. Now the neighbor will not be able to move freely on my property and do whatever she wants.
And the next weekend she came and asked:
– Why did you put a fence? Now I can not get to my seedlings. Are you going to take care of it yourself?
This I already considered the insolence, because in the evening dismantled the greenhouse and threw the materials over the fence. Since then, she did not even say hello to me.
