Sarah had been a mess since she was a little girl. My mother made me clean the house, do the dishes, and my little sister was spoiled, they thought she was small and told me to wash, clean, and do the laundry for her. So she grew up to fifteen, but she didn’t learn to clean her room. Then I finally moved away from my parents, but my mother did not teach my second daughter independence, and all she went and cleaned. I don’t know how Sarah got married, but to this day her house is a mess.
She and her husband recently had a daughter, and now Sarah’s covering herself in the name of motherhood.
– I don’t have time to clean, I always have to look after Anna. She either cries or wants to eat…
And that is why their floor is covered with sticky stains with dust stuck to it, there is a mountain of dishes in the sink, the stove is smeared with everything it has, and there are two bags of garbage with dirty diapers. It’s enough to walk into the hallway of their apartment and the smell makes it seem like pigs live here.
My sister recently asked me to baby-sit because she was running out to meet her friends, but when I walked in and saw the extent of the disaster, I said that I would not let her go anywhere, because I will not sit in such a mess. Either she stays late and helps me with the cleaning, or she can take the baby with her, because I’m leaving.
And Sarah said:
– You can’t clean such a mess, it’s easier to sell the apartment than to clean it all up.
If her husband is bothered by it, he doesn’t show it, he tolerates it. But I don’t understand how a child can be forced to breathe this stuff and climb on a dirty floor…
