I decided to spend my vacation in the capital, rented a hotel room, planned where I would go. Already in the first week of vacation I met Adam, who came here for a checkup at the local hospital. I was curious how he got there and what happened to him. The conversation didn’t start right away…
– My own children sent me here,” Adam sighed heavily.
My son is quite a successful man. Since the age of eighteen he managed to build a career, earns a lot of money. He made such a growth in the business, which also brings him pleasure. He is a very stubborn and goal-oriented person. These qualities helped him achieve what he wanted. Only there is one “but”, he is not married, which his father finds strange. Such a good guy goes to waste.
– The son seems happy to have such a job, but it is obvious that he lacks a family life – continued his story Adam – Although the son tried to date different girls, some fit his standards, but for some reason with each of them he did not have a relationship for more than a month.
His daughter Victoria is engaged in charity work, she’s always away from home, she often stays late in her so-called office. She takes a lot on herself, which makes her tired quickly. Her father told her to knock it off, but her daughter can’t help her kindness; she wants to help a lot of people.
– The last time I talked to my children was a month ago and it was hard. Maybe they are fed up with their father and decided to get rid of him. I do have health complications, though,” Adam says.
The elderly man did not have the best childhood. His parents abandoned him when he was four years old. His upbringing was taken care of by his father’s cousin, Alex. Since Adam was still a small child then, he began to forget about his parents with each passing year, for him truly native people were a great-uncle and his wife. They tried to give him what he needed most. By the way, the mother and father still visited their son for some reason, than made the poor child remember them and cry afterwards.
Still, Adam managed to survive this moment in his life and move on. Alex and his wife helped him with his lessons, later helped him get into the coveted university on a budget. He was an excellent student, the best in class and in the group of students. Then he met Monica, who bore him two children. And so he immersed himself in family life, forgetting about his uncle. But after a while Alex arrived at Adam’s house with a big bag. It made him a little tense.
– Will you stay with us long?
– About forever. You know that my wife is gone…
– It’s an interesting reason to stay here, but you have your own house,” Adam gently began to say, “I don’t mind you coming to visit, but I have my own family sort of…
– Oh yes! – Uncle answered offensively, – May your children answer you as you answer me. Ungrateful.
Adam did not believe in such wishes, but when gradually his children began to distance themselves from him, he immediately realized that something was wrong. Yes, they did not mind helping him, but not immediately and not always. So busy that they completely forgot about their father…
