William adored his wife, loved and cherished her. He was really lucky to have a job, with clear plans for the future, and she could take care of the children like a sorceress. Everyone liked Samantha, his parents included, but there was something sly about her, a dash of mystery and probably madness. She was a real sweetheart, until she and William fought. Then she’d lose her temper and say all sorts of things, threaten her, threaten to divorce her, and that kind of behavior would make William and his parents more cautious.
Mom and Dad had an apartment in a new building, which they had rented for the last two years, thus increasing their capital, and when William and Samantha had their second son, they decided to give the rent money to their son. They wanted him to pamper the family, to take the grandchildren to all the necessary activities, and to give the children a decent vacation, the only thing they asked him to do was not to tell Samantha about the extra income. William feels bad about it, but at the same time he has more peace of mind that he always has the money, and he can solve any unforeseen situation. His wife also works and invests, but she leaves something for herself, and William does the same with his parents.
Is that fair to his wife? Absolutely not. But can she be offended if she doesn’t know that something is being hidden from her?
