Angelina was an only child of her parents, and her father and mother tried very hard to provide a better life for their daughter. They allowed her a lot from childhood, they always spent a lot of money on her and never denied her anything, supporting her even in the stupidest decisions. They indulged her in everything except her personal life. Considering their daughter a goddess, no less than the center of the universe, they could not allow her to marry just anyone. So her boyfriends were rigidly selected, and when it came to marriages, it didn’t stop.
Her first husband was a wonderful guy, but cunning and enterprising, always wanting his own business, nurturing ambition, and Angelina’s father did not like investing in a lazy son-in-law at all. Afraid that he would start begging his wife for money for the business, his father did everything to keep them apart. He slandered them against each other and their marriage did not last more than a year and a half.
My second husband was very rich and handsome, but my mother told me right away that he would cheat on her. He had it written all over his face. The man, on top of everything else, was greedy, he spent everything on himself, and he made Angelina work and pay for everything equally. The girl herself did not like it, and her mother encouraged her to get a divorce until she was alone with him at her old age. Such a cunning man was sure to take all his wealth wherever he could, and sign it over to whomever he could, to leave his wife with nothing.
The third was the best, he loved Angelina very much, but he was much younger than her, still green. He did not know how to behave with her parents, he did not deserve their respect, and they began to twist their hearts again, insisting on a divorce. Angelina ended up breaking up with him, too, because she wanted children and he wasn’t ready.
So the daughter returned to her parents’ house all alone. Parents support and encourage again, pamper as they can, but is there any joy in it? Angelina herself realizes that with her mother’s and father’s help her marriages have broken down, but she cannot reproach them, because they always wanted the best for her…
