When my boyfriend cheated on me, I thought it was the end of the world. And now I’m thankful for the lesson.

William was always a very serious young man, it was scary to make jokes with him, because then I immediately felt uncomfortable, and his incomprehensible look was like saying that I was stupid. It was my first relationship, and I didn’t realize that if a person was uncomfortable, it meant he wasn’t your person. William wasn’t right for me at all, but I clung to him because he was a great student, the best in his class, and he motivated me to study well. It seemed that I was the only one who was bored with him and that’s why he was always frowning, although he wasn’t very interested in me either. So much so that he switched to my best friend, and while I thought that our relationship was developing slowly, his relationship with my friend developed very rapidly.

I found out about the affair through my classmates, and William and I had a scandal in front of everyone in the classroom. It was quite a show for everyone to see, I’ll tell you that. I thought that since my first and only boyfriend cheated on me, there was something wrong with me, it was my fault. After breaking up with William, I started studying even harder and more diligently, taking better care of my appearance, and being wary of guys.

It was then my way of getting over my first failed relationship in life, trying to forget the trauma, but it made me a successful and cautious person. I graduated with honors, got a great job, and there I met an older man I wanted to confide in, which I did. I don’t regret in the slightest that I didn’t try to date more guys when I was a student and spent enough time on my education, but I got a million times more out of a serious relationship with a man I was very comfortable with than I did with William. He taught me a good lesson, showing me not at all that people can be cheaters and cheaters, but that this kind of thing can be prevented by being sensitive to your feelings and those of your partner. Because if you truly love each other and your thoughts are in the same direction, no one would think of going out.
