This week, inmates of the Vila Velha III State Penitentiary (PEVV III), located in Espírito Santo, gave a puppy a house made in the Jequitibá Carpentry Shop, where they work. The dog is named Satú and was adopted by employees of the Viana Municipal Guard.
Twelve inmates are dedicated to carpentry, where they make tables, chairs, benches and other things. They work from the study and design phase to the execution of the work, besides learning a trade, they have the benefit of a reduced sentence: every three days of work, one day of the sentence is redeemed. And among so many products, one in particular stood out: a doghouse.
“In addition to practicing a trade, we always try to meet demands related to social projects or donations that awaken a feeling of solidarity in the inmates.
