Susan’s mother-in-law raised her own son and daughter. Life hardships hardened her character. She is a bossy and tough woman. The children all their lives followed her lead, and their mother did not cross her.

– Son-in-law is weak-willed. He bends to his mother-in-law, and my Susan’s not like that. He works all weekends at her dacha. My mother-in-law won’t let the kids go to the sea. They say you shouldn’t waste your money. And if you want to swim, go to the river, – she recalled.
My mother-in-law did not bless the marriage of the children. She did not like her daughter-in-law, and she did not hide it. Immediately after the wedding she raced to check on them, to see what kind of hostess Susan was. However, she was not going to keep quiet – she immediately made it clear that the apartment is hers, so wander around without reason will not allow. Daughter-in-law herself ceased to go to her mother-in-law to visit, because she felt the negativity in her address. She also refused to go to the dacha.
– A year after the wedding, my daughter wanted to go to Egypt. Why? She can afford it, she earns good money. And my son-in-law doesn’t sit idly by. They talked and started looking for a last minute trip. My mother-in-law found out about it…” she shakes her head.
– To Egypt? Where are you so tired that you are going on vacation? If you have extra money, give it to me, I’ll find a decent use for it. Your sea is a summer house. If you, son, do not listen to me, you do not have a mother, – said the mother of her husband.
The husband began to persuade his wife that her mother was right. Susan didn’t like it:
– We always do what your mother wants. And when we live for ourselves? When our time comes? As long as she is alive, she won’t let us go further than the dacha! – Susan said and went off to rest without her husband.
Her mother-in-law immediately began to turn everyone against Susan. She must have a lover there, if she flew away without her husband. She drove him so crazy that he agreed to divorce her.
– And that is good. It would have been worse if Susan had already had children. She’d spend the rest of her life telling her husband what underwear to buy. And she wouldn’t have turned her back on the dacha. Her daughter was not going to dance to her tune,” says Susan’s mother.
Susan regrets it – that she spent so much time on the mama’s boy. But she was not going to put up with it, nor was she going to live according to someone else’s orders. She’s sure she’ll find another man of her own and let her ex-husband run his course. Along with his mother!
