Being a hero is easier than many people think, it is not necessary to have a cape or superpowers, with the simple willingness to help others you can do something. The important thing is to act, to know that the welfare of others is important and to value each life as our own.

A trio of young boys were on a bike ride in Xochitlán, when they saw that a dog could not get out of a small dam. If he kept swimming to stay afloat, he would eventually tire and lose his life.
So when they saw it, they decided to save it. First one of the young men tried to make the rescue unsuccessfully, as he was too far away, but two more young men arrived to reach the target.

The job was not easy, as one served as a bridge, one was very close to the water and the third young man acted as a lever to keep them all out. The good thing is that it worked and they managed to get the dog out of that dam of water, so that it could rest from so much floating. Maybe he went in there looking for water, so after saving him and making sure he was okay, they were able to continue with their bike ride.
For many it might have been a waste of time, but these young men were aware of the animal’s suffering and took some of their time to save him. No doubt it was a great day, and I’m sure they went home very happy. While they didn’t receive a prize, their prize was saving an animal, and that’s enough.

Hopefully this will inspire more people to know that helping street animals is important and they are usually the ones who need it the most.
