Anna remembers her parents very vaguely. Her father stood with a suitcase and said something to her mother. And then her mother sat on the floor and cried a lot. She was completely unresponsive to her daughter – she ignored her screaming and crying.
Just moments later, she hugged her daughter hard and kissed her forehead. It was their last hug. Literally the next day she stopped recognizing her mother. Little Anna thought it was upbringing. But the yelling, reproaches, and scandals didn’t end.
She was sweet and affectionate with the neighboring children, but she did not put Anna in any way. She treated them to pies and pancakes and took it out on her daughter, throwing away all her anger. Anna was instead of a servant. The girl felt that her mother sincerely hated her.
When she was young, her mother was deeply in love with a boy. They walked together, dated, made plans for the future. She was waiting for him from the army and even agreed to go to the other end of the earth, just to be near him.
And then Anna was born. Everything changed. Conflicts, problems, arguments began. Daddy could stay home for weeks and was rude to mother. Mom cried into her pillow and forgot about her daughter. Neighbors would feed the girl, look after her while the woman was recovering from her love drama.
One day Dad just didn’t come back from a business trip. He came back a month later and said he was leaving her for another woman. Since then, the relationship between my mother and Anna had severely deteriorated.
– You have ruined my whole life! – Anna’s mother kept telling Anna.
She did not hide her emotions from her daughter. She expressed her thoughts directly and concretely. Although Anna was growing up, she did not understand what she was guilty of. It was hard for her to realize that with her father gone, her mother didn’t need her. Could it be that her husband’s betrayal had destroyed her love for her only daughter? Apparently so.
Anna’s mother did not choose her words. The woman understood that the girl had nothing to do with it, but she saw her ex-husband in her every look. Anna was a copy of her father, and that was the main reason for her uncontrollable hatred.
After a while her mother left. Where to? To the nearest roof. Anna didn’t know the details, for the picture was certainly not for children’s eyes. She became an orphan that night.
