I want to share a story of how I became an unwitting observer of impudence and rudeness, and different generations of people.
I work as a truck driver and I know how hard it is to earn money. My wife is a good woman, from a simple working-class family, so she knows the value of money. Over 8 years we have saved a certain amount of money and decided to buy an inexpensive, but new car.
When I came to the salon, I immediately noticed three buyers. They behaved very loudly, chatted, discussed the purchase and laughed. After a while it became clear that they were a father, his son and his future daughter-in-law. They were choosing a car for their son. Their behavior, of course, left much to be desired.
But we came here with another purpose, so we started walking among the cars and trying to assess the price. A consultant came up to us and started doing his work conscientiously. Suddenly this rich father came up to us, interrupted the conversation and said indignantly:
– Hey, why’d you leave? We came here to buy an expensive car from you! Thanks to us, you can get a bonus for a quality sale! Come on, serve our order first, and then you can get on with your other business!
My wife and I were a little taken aback by this tone and behavior, but since we have just arrived and have not yet decided – let the guy go to these impertinent.
– You’ve already been told that the money is not a problem, we need the coolest babe in this salon! If you don’t know about cars, call someone smarter! – And that’s what my son said.
And the most frustrating thing is that there are a lot of people like that in our world. They think they are the high society. But in fact – the usual trash. I can’t call it any other way, I’m sorry.
But this guy, a consultant, earned his own Zhiguli. He drives it only on weekends with his wife and child. He walks to work to save his car and values every penny. The guy knows the value of money, unlike these buyers!
