– You’re stealing from my son, he can’t even buy a light bulb.

Sunday morning I was lying covered in plaid on the couch. My spouse had rushed off to his mother’s house to change light bulbs. But the reason for calling my son to visit, of course, was different:

– Son, haven’t you forgotten that Ilyusha has an anniversary today? You come and change the light bulb too.

My husband is a real spender. His salary only lasts a few days. It’s good that he gives me money for utilities and groceries. He spends the rest to buy new games and everything else he needs for them. I don’t pay attention to this, because I think I should let my boy play than drink in the garage and go out to nightclubs. Besides, I read somewhere that the first forty years of childhood are the most difficult for every man.

I did not describe all this so that you sympathize with me, I just told you about why the spouse is always empty pockets.I have no such problems. I even manage to save. I often lend to my spouse if he needs money urgently. But I always turn him down when he needs money for his mother’s, nephews’, or sister’s needs.

Of course, I remembered that today is Ilyusha’s anniversary, so I bought him a constructor as a gift a week ago. Before her husband went to his family, I solemnly gave him a gift and sat down to watch a movie. I did not go to the holiday, as we have a mutual dislike with my in-laws.

They believe that I have nothing to love, because I do not allow the spouse to spend money on them, I refuse to sit with his nephews. I once agreed to sit with my sister-in-law’s children for an hour, but they took them away after half a day. Because of that, I didn’t get to work in time. I also had the nerve to express my dissatisfaction to my sister-in-law. For this, his mother and sister called me shameless and boorish. All subsequent requests to look after the children were refused. However, I never minded when my spouse babysat with my nephews, because I also enjoyed playing with them.

After my spouse left, not even a couple of hours later, he arrived at our house with all of his family, including his nephews. The spouse’s parent walked unashamedly right through the house in her outer clothing and announced with an important look:

– We decided that since it is Ilyusha’s anniversary we will give him a tablet that he chose himself, its value is forty-three thousand. You owe me thirty-seven thousand for the gift. So splurge.

I would give the boy a tablet, but not as expensive as that, of course, but as simple as that, for about three thousand. Only by some fateful coincidence, the wife’s sister has been posting a picture of a tablet for 43 thousand on her social network page for more than two weeks. There are such coincidences in life.

It is clear that I did not give any money. At this point even my husband began to reproach me for greed. I turned on the computer and called Ilyukha over. In just five minutes he and I picked out and bought a gadget that he liked. And they are always reproaching me for not tolerating children!

The boy happily rushed to his mother, who had been sitting in the corridor the whole time. Sister-in-law had very sticky hands, so something always stuck to them. The spouse’s parent did not find my heartfelt impulse worthy and immediately became indignant.

– No one asked you to do it, you had to give the money, so come on. You are my son, like a robber, he can not even buy a light bulb. Give me thirty-seven thousand immediately, you know very well that it’s my son’s money.

At this point she began to climb into my bag, which was lying on the nightstand. I looked at my husband and hissed:

– That in three minutes and not a whiff of them here!

Then my husband grabbed his parent in an arm and dragged her out of our house. Three minutes was all he needed.

So, I’m only for when the spouse spends his paycheck on pay-per-view games, because before all the money was taken from him by his mommy. He’s better off spending his paycheck on something he enjoys than having those suckers pry it from him. Take today’s incident with the light bulb, for instance: “The husband was almost outside Mommy’s house when she called and told him to buy a light bulb. The spouse didn’t know anything about it, so he asked the salesman to collect and gave him the phone to get Mommy to order it. The guy packed him a bag with a twenty year supply of light bulbs and told my husband-in-law the amount he had to pay. Mother then told the salesman to give him the most expensive energy-saving bulbs, and as much as possible. And what a penny, my son is paying!

Now I’m sitting here thinking that I would have been better off marrying an orphan!
