We enjoy dressing up as our favorite characters at the costume parties we tend to attend from time to time, as well as our pets, although not necessarily for such an event. It has happened to us that on more than one occasion we have felt that we do not fit in a place, and we make our best efforts to be more comfortable and safe. Even though dogs don’t talk, sometimes we sense things from them. We don’t know what they think or feel, but we try to help them adapt to new environments.
Jodie Leigh Smith was concerned about her Labrador named Wilson when she took her other Dalmatian dog, named Mabel, to a meeting exclusively for spotted dogs, as he was going to be the only one different and she thought he might feel he was out of place. She told this story on her TikTok account, where she also shared the idea she came up with to prevent that from happening. On a sunny day, Jodie went for a walk with the two canines to the Dalmatian gathering for Mabel to socialize and share some time. Instead of keeping Wilson from participating in the gathering, she let him tag along and enjoy the moment just as much as they did, but put her ingeniously simple plan into action.
“I took my Dalmatian to a Dalmatian get-together, I didn’t want my Labrador to feel left out, so…,” Jodie told TikTok. As it turns out, Wilson’s owner dressed him in a small white garment with black spots to pass him off as the other breed, so he could go unnoticed among the puppies and not “feel” left out of the clan.
Wilson walked casually through the park in his costume, completely adapted to the environment. Wilson felt like just another Dalmatian, and apparently they didn’t notice that he was actually a Labrador. Who knows, though, they probably didn’t mind that detail and had fun that day.
The record has had more than 5 million reproductions on the social network and has received many comments from users:

“It’s like the reverse letter of when puppies pretend to be black Labradors in ‘101 Dalmatians,'” said another user.
