On the morning of the day off, my friend called me. Through my tears I could barely hear what it was about:
– Can you imagine? My husband brought home a baby. What do we need him for?
We used to work together , we’ve been friends ever since. Amanda was already married, but no children. Mark, on the other hand, had a daughter from her first marriage, all grown up. Later it turned out that this Lika had gotten into some kind of trouble. Her two children were left unattended. The older girl was kept by her common-law husband, but the boy had to be taken away by his grandfather.
He and Amanda were not engaged. They only met on weekends, each living on their own property. It’s hard to get along with a girlfriend, to be honest. But Mark was constantly adjusting.
– Mark tells me he has nowhere to put his grandson. He says his daughter’s conditions are not suitable for life, and no one looks after him. He decided that the boy will live here, but no one asked me. Now all the time we will have to pay attention to the boy, when we are going to meet? – Amanda was indignant.
Just so you understand, Amanda is 45 years old. Mark is her last chance to make a life for herself. Only here my girlfriend uses the man solely for his own purposes: to fix, drive, buy, talk.
And at the end of the conversation she even stunned me with her decision:
– I do not whether I give birth to my baby?
– It’s possible, but you won’t get rid of Alex anyway,” I answered.
– If you put Mark in front of a choice, he’ll be forced to choose his baby. And anyway, why doesn’t his ex take care of her grandchildren? Let her babysit Alex.
Amanda’s selfishness has gotten to the point where she’s even willing to get pregnant at that age just to keep another child out of her life. I think she has a bad idea. But she still went to the doctors, called me a week later – nothing would work out.
The situation resolved itself – the ex did take her grandson to live with her. She lived in the village with her second husband. She had two children in that marriage and had grandchildren, so Alex did not bother her in any way.
The ex-wife herself called Mark and told him to bring her a boy. All the relatives mistook Alex for one of their own. Amanda stayed with her boyfriend, but apparently it didn’t smell like happiness.
