– My mother-in-law is all grudges, turns her husband against me. And all because I do not want to listen to her nonsense for hours. I do not have to do it! – complained Emma, 28.
Emma got married two years ago. The newlyweds took out a mortgage, but realized that at this rate they would have to pay off the real estate loan in 20 years. And they wanted to live. They decided to rent out their one-room apartment and move in with her husband’s parents for a while. They did not mind – they gladly let the newlyweds into their three-room apartment.
– My mother-in-law is retired now, she is bored. She has no girlfriends, no hobbies. She’s not interested in soap operas either. She used to have one friend, but she fell out with her too. She found herself a suitor at her old age, she was afraid that her mother-in-law would take him away, – sighs Emma.
The girl’s mother-in-law is a very sociable woman. In the past such grandmothers would sit on the benches and wash everybody’s bones, but now it is irrelevant. There is no one in the yard, so the poor thing is suffering. There are only men at home, so my mother-in-law was very happy to see my daughter-in-law.
– I work all day with people, so I want to rest at home. In the evening after work, even his voice is lost, and here mother-in-law even with his questions. I hinted at her that I want to rest, but she seems to skip this information through her ears – complains daughter-in-law.
Emma no sooner takes her shoes off than her mother-in-law runs to her. And the weather tells, and about gossip, and what she did. Then she recounts all the stories of neighbors Emma does not even know. At first she pretended to listen and nodded, but the relative would not stop even after an hour or two. Even when the daughter-in-law began to ostentatiously yawn, she continued to flutter her tongue.
– I would go to my room. And I she knocked, and again she pressed on my ears. Sometimes I even had to turn off the light. But if she suddenly saw me sitting on the phone, she would come running right away,” Emma was angry.
When her mother-in-law finally noticed that her daughter-in-law did not burn with the desire to communicate with her, she began to resent her. Emma’s husband urged his wife to keep quiet and nod her head. Is it so hard? He is not asking her something impossible.
– I’ve already asked my husband to move back into our apartment, but he only twirled his head. Of course, I understand that money is tight, but I can’t live in such an atmosphere, – my daughter-in-law said indignantly.
In fact, if it were not for my mother-in-law, life would not have been easy for the young people, to put it mildly. She helps them a lot. She has taken care of all the financial expenses and does all the cleaning and cooking. Emma and her husband only pay part of the utility bill, so they can set aside almost their entire salary. And it is convenient to live with parents – you come and rest, no need to run to the stove and a broom.
– Not only that, I overheard a conversation between my husband and mother-in-law. She is sure that we will not live together for a long time. Like, I was not built for the family. I was dumbfounded by such a statement. She’s already asking for a divorce – a good mother-in-law – says Emma.
What is missing a girl? You live on everything ready, shut up and smile. You may be tired at work, but they do not ask you to unload wagons, and talk to a man. You should show some respect and behave like a human being.
