I myself am from an orphanage – my parents died, there were no relatives – so I was placed in an orphanage. After graduating from the orphanage I immediately went to work. I had no money to study. I am a hard-working girl and I have never been afraid of any work. Then I met Ronald, we fell in love and started living together. We had a good relationship, we didn’t quarrel, we helped each other.
But Ronald never wanted to make me his wife, and I so wanted a real family, which I never had. But it didn’t seem to work out. Four years into our cohabitation, I was pregnant. My boyfriend, as soon as he found out, got his claws out. All that was left of him was a note that he didn’t want kids now and that his folks would give me money to get rid of the baby.
Yes, they did send money, but I knew I wouldn’t kill my child. No matter how hard it was for me, I would work and try.
Then one day my neighbor saw me with a belly, and she kept telling me.
-And I told you, I told you that with a man to live only after marriage. And now what?! What are you going to do now?! A single mother.
I was very offended to hear that. More than once she expressed her displeasure. Then it was very difficult – when I was pregnant I worked much more than before. It was good that at least the director understood my situation and even gave me a little extra money. I didn’t think that in time completely strangers would start helping me.
One day I was sitting at home, the doorbell rang. A woman with a bag was standing there. It turned out that my neighbor had asked everyone to help me, so that everyone could bring something. Mothers brought me a lot of clothes, toys and other things. And then I started getting money – it turned out that an old man, who was cleaning our yard, decided to help me and the baby with money.
I never imagined that when I needed help so much, strangers would help me. Thank God that even my landlady started charging me less money for rent. That is how with the help of many people I was able to bear and give birth to a child, and then bring him up. My son was raised by our whole house.
Years later my father wanted to see his son. He did not arrange his personal life – even his mother and father began to ask about their grandson. I don’t know if I should let them communicate now.
