Taking care of my sick mother has deprived me of my family and job and now how do I live after that I don’t know?

While I was taking care of my sick mother, I lost my family, I also had to quit my job, now how to go on living, I can not even imagine. Parents are not eternal, well, my life goes on. My husband could not stand the fact that I took his sick mother to our home. And who else would do that but me? What was I supposed to do with a sick mother who was unable to care for herself.

At first the spouse held on, but it was obvious that the situation was depressing for him. Then my spouse started coming home later from work and spending as much time at work as possible whenever possible. I began to notice that he was constantly talking to someone on social media. And then I realized that my spouse had another woman. At first they were just chatting and he was complaining to her about me bringing my mother home because of that, he had no life at home.

This lady just caught the spouse at the right moment, she was there all the time and listened to him when he needed to talk. Then he packed his bags and went to his mistress, and then he demanded that I give him a divorce.

The kids also moved out of the house into a dormitory. My son told me that they just didn’t have the energy to watch their grandmother whine and suffer from dementia, which made her actions not just unpleasant, but sometimes frightening.

I was left alone. I was left without a spouse, children, or a job. How do I go on with my life, I do not know. I am still relatively young, and I want to live a normal life. So it turns out that while I was saving my mother, I ruined my happiness. It’s very hard for me to understand all of this. When that happens in your life, you don’t even know what the right thing to do is.

Maybe I shouldn’t have taken my mother home with me. What about your conscience in that case? If I had left my mother and turned my back on her in that situation, how would I have lived with such a burden on my soul? I even had to quit my job, because I could not leave my mother alone at home in such a state. If anyone had a similar situation, what way out of it did you find?
