– You won’t believe it, because of the apartment. My father and I decided to please the newlyweds, scraped together all the savings and bought the apartment as a wedding present. We had to sell the dacha and the garage, too, to have enough for everything. The real estate was registered in my daughter’s name. What difference does it make who?

– And my husband and I think so. The apartment, of course, is “bare”. We need to make repairs and furnish it, but we don’t have any savings anymore. My husband told his son-in-law that let’s fix up the place little by little, so we can move in sooner. And my son-in-law does not want to do repairs there!
– Why?
– You see, it is someone else’s apartment. He does not want to invest in real estate, which has nothing to do. Told us to do the repairs ourselves. He can buy small things, but he’s not going to spend a lot of money.
– What if we don’t have to renovate? Can we do that?
– No, it’s completely empty. Moreover, we need to change the plumbing, electrical, flooring and walls align. The old windows – it’s better to dismantle, so as not to drift. And to make a finish, at least minimal – says the potential mother-in-law.
Amanda herself would not live in such conditions, although she is unpretentious. How can young people live in such a shambles? Aren’t they ashamed? My son-in-law works in a large firm, he gets a good salary, but he is sorry for the money. You see, he wants to save up for his own place, so he won’t be left without a roof over his head.
– It turns out he wants to live off the shelf. He demands that we buy an apartment and make repairs at our own expense. Well, if he thinks that the apartment is someone else’s, let him pay the rent. If we do not have a normal relationship, so be it. The interesting thing is that he grinned and agreed, – the pensioner sighs.
– What does my daughter say?
– She is very upset and cries all the time. She loves him very much, and we can’t divide the apartment. She does not need any more apartment, or repairs, if only to come to their senses. But I do not like the fact that a man does not want to invest anything in the family. What’s going to happen next?
