On a quiet afternoon, Chema Robles immortalized the dog watching the sunset at a beach resort in Mazatlan and then shared it on social networks. Photographers are experts at capturing good moments; it’s not for nothing that they call their images photographic hits that reflect the precise moment of whatever it is.
They can turn the most casual moment of life into a work of art, because so many things happen around us, there are so many people and animals that it is impossible to look at the details that are hidden, without us noticing them.
A camera can capture what the human eye cannot, but for that you need a good photographer to use it. The portrait photographer known as Chema Robles was in the seaside resort of Mazatlan, located in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, looking for moments to immortalize when he came across a little dog watching the sunset sitting down.
The images were shared on Robles’ Facebook page, called “El Fotógrafo de 10 pesitos”, where he simulated a phrase said by the canine to encourage his followers. “Had a bad day? Come here. Come, sit and watch the sunset with me,” reads the young man’s publication on the social network. In the photos you can see the little dog alone, sitting quietly watching the sunset over the sea and smiling at the photographer, as if he were inviting him with his eyes to accompany him to appreciate the moment.
The sun’s rays cover the dog’s fur in the warm afternoon, giving it orange tones in the images that were left as a final result.
Robles did not imagine that the photos would be so well received on social networks, as they were shared more than a thousand times and the comments were very positive. Even more photographers praised his work and that meant a lot to the young man. “Always the toughest judges, and it really makes me happy that they like my photos so much, it’s really a lot of joy,” said the photographer on Facebook.
One detail that Robles posted weeks later, was that someone accompanied the little dog to watch the sunset, so he was not the only one to notice what he was doing. “One of the people who came to take the picture with me saw the dog and sat with him, and look there he is. A sunset hugging a celebrity without realizing it,” Robles said in the publication. Users took the opportunity to ask him in another update if the canine had an owner, and the photographer answered truthfully. “I think he has an owner, it’s a man who sells there on the Malecón, but I’ll be looking for him. In these days of work I’m going to find him,” Robles commented in the post.
