They say that children are happiness. The same goes for grandchildren. Yes, of course, I agree. But only when you don’t have too many and have the ability to support them. My husband and I have a daughter. As it happens, when she was 19, she dumbfounded us with the news that she was pregnant and was going to have a baby. Gave birth to two children at once. Got married.
Understandably, it all came crashing down on our heads. A young mother with two children. Her husband was also very young, earned a penny. We mostly supported them. I had to take another job for my husband and me, to be able to support the children and grandchildren.
For a while they lived with us. Waking up in the morning for two jobs and me running around the twins all night for my daughter to rest. Understandably, my health began to limp.
And so it was literally three years, already somehow on their feet, and the kids have grown, my daughter calls and says she is pregnant again. I immediately told her that it would be better to have an abortion. There are two not so easy to put on their feet. But no, she stubbornly said she wanted to have the baby. She gave birth and everything went back to normal. Again we need money, yet another mouth to feed. My spouse and I again dived headlong into work. Even though my son-in-law was earning more, how could he support 5 people?
My husband had a stroke and I started to have heart pains. I already realized that our bodies simply can not withstand such a load. I told my daughter that now let them figure it out themselves. And then she just killed me morally – she is pregnant with her fourth child.
I did not even know what to say. I mean, what were they thinking? It seems that they hoped that my father and I will support them all the time. But we can’t do that anymore. I don’t know what to do anymore. And I don’t want people to judge us for not helping our only daughter. But we’ve already helped as much as we can.
