When we got married, we started living in a rented apartment. We lived happily together with Frank in a rented apartment for three years without any quarrels. And then the landlord suddenly decided to sell the apartment. Buyers were found very quickly. So Frank and I had to suddenly pack up and vacate the apartment.
We decided to buy the apartment with a mortgage. Of course we had no money. So Frank went to work on a shift for three months. And I took a lot of night shifts at my job. According to our calculations, when Frank returned from his shift, we should have had enough money for a down payment on the mortgage.
After we moved out of the rental apartment, we moved in with my mother-in-law. After all, my parents lived far away, and renting an apartment and raising money to buy their own apartment was just a completely unrealistic task.
When my husband went away to work, I tried to establish a relationship with my mother-in-law, but she disliked me very much. She disliked absolutely everything about me: the way I walked, what and how I did, the way I dressed and how I wore makeup.
My mother-in-law also hated that I started going to work the night shift so often. She kept calling Frank and saying:
