My mother-in-law is just being disgusting. She takes my husband away all weekend. And I need his help so badly.

I’m 32 years old. My husband and I have two small children. No one is helping us. My son has not been in kindergarten for two weeks now, because he has terrible bronchitis. He coughs a lot and does not sleep well at night because of it. And my daughter started teething right away and is crying all the time. I am just going crazy with them. I so want to get some rest this weekend. I was hoping Bryan would help me with the kids and that’s why I was looking forward to Saturday.

And then it suddenly turned out on Friday night that my husband would be going to his mom’s on Saturday morning.
– Well, we had already agreed that I would come and help her! – My husband started making excuses.

I made a terrible scandal. Why doesn’t my mother-in-law understand that her son has a family: children and a wife. She doesn’t care that the kids only see their own father for half an hour before bedtime. How can she take their father away from them? She also deprives me of the opportunity to rest. I have always had a bad relationship with my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law raised Bryan alone. After her husband died, my mother-in-law never remarried because she didn’t want her son to have a stepfather. Now her mother-in-law demands that Brian help her, both financially and mentally.

She wants him to call her all the time and ask her how she is, how she is doing. She is not interested at all in the fact that my husband and I have big money problems, that our apartment needs repairs, that I am on maternity leave.

And then it turned out that on Saturday my mother-in-law was supposed to deliver the furniture. And my mother-in-law decided to save money and only paid for the delivery to the entrance. And take the furniture into the apartment and collect it should have been Bryan .

Only that the furniture was delivered late at night, and Bryan did not have time to assemble it. So on Sunday he went back to his mother. But to assemble the furniture was not so easy. It is not for nothing that they hire specialists for this. Brian wasn’t very good at blueprints, so he had to assemble this closet all Sunday. He arrived home late at night, very tired, and went straight to bed.

And on Monday morning he went to work again. All because my mother-in-law decided to save some money. Of course, I called my mother-in-law and told her my outrage. And she told me:

– What do you want? Do you want my son not to help me? It’s not my fault you have two small children. I told you from the beginning that you shouldn’t have a second child. And now you’re complaining about how hard it is for you. My son has helped me, and he will continue to help me. And don’t you dare turn my son against me! – My mother-in-law told me.

I just don’t know what to do now. Why can’t my mother-in-law understand how hard it is for me and that our children and I miss Bryan very much?
