Midtown gets touching seven-story firefighter mural for 9/11 anniversary

Eduardo Kobra Street artist, muralist Brazil. His work often celebrates patriotism and pays tribute to important historical moments or figures.


The helmets of the firefighters in the mural also have “BAE” written on them—the acronym for Bravest Always Excel. The flag shield has 50 stars, representing each of the states in America. And then there are smaller details, like baseballs and bats that nod to both New York City and America as a whole.

This patriotic quilt is a great way to remember the victims of 9/11. The stars represent all of those who lost their lives, and the colors are meant to send a message of life and hope.
