Inheritance from her ex-husband or surprise from her mother-in-law.

As a gift from her alcoholic spouse, Emily received the care of his mother. They have been divorced for ten years now. And not just because of his never-drying binges, the way he used to raise his hand to her.

They had long ago broken off all relations with him. And their mutual son had long ago got married and went to live far away in another town. He didn’t have anything to do with his father, either with his father, either. Who would be happy to have an alcoholic father. And the father himself hardly tried to find a loophole in his son’s heart.

And then one Sunday morning he got a phone call that brought extremely unpleasant …that her ex husband had passed away. And there was no one to bury him, so she and her son took care of all the arrangements. They had a decent burial.

But there was still the old, sickly and perpetually nagging mother-in-law. So what to do with her? If she were still normal, but no – she’s still a surprise. Throughout their entire acquaintance, all she did was to throw things in the way.

She was always telling everyone about Emily. And her son, who probably that’s probably why he drank himself to death. The devil knows.

My mother-in-law lived in her own private house on the outskirts of their town. After the funeral, her son went back to his place – he has a family after all. And taking care of her grumpy grandmother fell heavily on Emilie’s shoulders.

What can you do, she visits her a couple of times a week. Carries groceries, which she is always displeased with, but happily eats, as they say tucking into your cheeks. Takes care of the speaker and chopping wood. It is difficult for her, of course, but she could not leave this grandmother. How can you leave a helpless person.

So lasted another three months, after which the old woman died. As it turned out, in her will she left the house to Emily and not a small amount of money accumulated during his life. So much for gratitude.
