In my 60 years I bought a short skirt. Men compliment me and women judge me for my appearance.
I say at once that the short things I usually do not buy myself. I just recently lost a lot of weight. I will definitely tell you about it, how I did it. I did not sit on a diet. I just switched to a healthier diet. And I stopped eating after 6:00 p.m. I also started to walk a lot. And drinking clean water up to 1.5-2 liters of water a day.
I decided to celebrate my “new figure” with a short skirt. Figured I’d be embarrassed to eat out again later. It would be my personal incentive not to eat too much and keep my shape. I bought a short skirt at a local store. I put it on and went to a friend’s house. She was celebrating her birthday, her 60th birthday. When I came in, all eyes were on me.
Men started paying me compliments. I was so happy. I liked my new condition so much. Can you imagine? I’m in my 60 years of age receiving compliments and saying that I have beautiful slender legs.
And women who were at the party, began to say that at age 60 is not very appropriate. That at 60 you need to cover your legs, your knees. And that I looked ugly. I asked: “But, if I’ve lost weight, why can’t I wear a short skirt at least once? It’s not like I dress like this every day?”
And so I came home, and I look at this skirt, and I don’t know whether to throw it away or keep it. Whether or not to pay attention to public opinion.
I understand that at age 60 it’s time to do what I personally want, not someone else. But, why are women around here so mean? Why, if someone has lost weight and more or less looks good, you just have to say mean things.
Oh, these women!
