I stopped helping people. Why I won’t even lend a helping hand to my children anymore

I don’t help people anymore. I don’t see any point in helping. I’m going to tell you why I’ve formed this view. Perhaps someone will not understand me, but this is just my subjective opinion.

You try to do something for your children, you help them financially, and what gratitude do you get in return? None! Only accusations and reproaches. It still makes you look like a bad person, even if you have done everything possible for them, sacrificing your own interests. No one will appreciate those sacrifices. So I’ve concluded that children need less help, so that they have an incentive to become independent and well-off people.

Often my buddies tell me stories about how grown-up children demand that they buy an apartment, pay for expensive vacations, or sponsor the purchase of a car. If you help them in this way, such help will do them no good, but only harm. Of course, when children are young and cannot provide for themselves, they need help. Only some parents supply their children with money until old age. I think this is not normal.

Helping friends and buddies is also a questionable mission. They themselves ask for advice, ask how to act in this or that situation, and then make you feel guilty if their expectations are not met.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become wiser about “giving out” advice. Now I can only give advice if I understand the subject. If I’m not competent and experienced, I’d rather not say anything. Why ask a blind man how to paint a portrait? It’s the same with advice!

Speaking of friendship, the best way to lose a friend is to give him advice he didn’t ask for. This is unethical, so it is quite expected that the person will take offense. Especially unsolicited advice should not be given to the female sex. Women are very emotional and overreact to everything.

If I were to organize everything I wrote in this article, there are five main reasons why I don’t help people:

1.Children should not be helped because it inhibits their development. They should be independent people, able to solve their own problems and make a living.

2. You should not help your friends and give advice, because they will be offended or worse, they will blame you for everything.

If you help other people simply for the sake of altruism, you will be doing them a disservice. A man needs a fishing rod, not a fish, remember that.

4. Often people expect a favor in return for their help, but people are ungrateful, they quickly forget what good has been done for them.

5. Helping out of pity is utopia. If a person finds himself in this or that circumstance, there is no need to feel sorry for him, he has made that choice himself. Moreover, some people like to be in the position of a victim.
