This story happened in the fall. Mark, our neighbor, was seriously busy cleaning the yard and fixing up the house. Already put a new stove, updated the facade of the house, but in the fall, he decided to change the fence. In general, he began to improve his plot of land. We were glad to see such a change, since all sides of our yard already had a good high fence, but with this neighbor – fragile and old. Here he finally decided to change it. Since it was his side of the fence, we weren’t going to spend our money on it.
Toward the end of the fall I say to my wife: “Let’s go to the cottage – let’s see how the neighbor is doing with his fence. And it’s been a long time since we were there. As if I felt that something was wrong there. I’ve heard before, such stories that the poles will put up for the fence beyond its territory, and then finish everything else, and we will not be able to do anything. Well, we went to check it out.
As I thought, everything was not so smooth. When we arrived at the cottage, our neighbor and his son-in-law were just installing our adjacent fence. Except that I noticed right away that their yard had moved a little bit toward us. The fact that we had bushes near the fence, and now they were much closer to the fence.
I didn’t hesitate long, walked up to Mark and said bluntly: “You don’t have to pretend that you don’t put a fence on your property, and you wouldn’t even think of climbing on mine.” The neighbor, with no intentions of scandal, came up to me and said in a friendly way: “Come on, it’s only a meter and a half. I just wanted to put the fence flatter, without rounding it over there. We’re neighbors!”
But I was not satisfied with such a variant, and said that we have two options: either he puts the fence where it should be, or I write a statement, we’ll use the location plan to determine whose territory. But the neighbor thought it was a joke and continued in the same vein.
So my wife and I immediately filed an application to the land control authorities. We have everything formalized, so there were no problems and our application was immediately checked. After a while, a guy called me and said he would come and check on us. As a result, the neighbor got an injunction and promised he would have everything redone in the shortest time possible. That’s how it is, until the serious threats begin, no one even listens. But it was possible to solve everything peacefully.
