Julia woke up with excitement. She had been dreaming about something bad, and it had been going on for a week. Exactly 7 days ago Anna’s biological mother showed up, who suddenly decided to become related to her daughter. The last time she and her daughter saw each other was 17 years ago.
– Anna, you’re hot. Let’s take your temperature, – said her grandmother.
All these years she herself raised and fed the girl. She did not want the good-for-nothing mother to show up and take the child away from her. Memories came flooding back. Anna had been her own sister’s granddaughter when she died, and she had begun to raise her alone. She and her sister were very close, even after the wedding, they never lost touch.
Julia’s sister was abandoned by her husband, and she was left alone with her daughter. Naturally, for the good of her daughter she had to forget about her personal life. She dove headlong into her career, and in the direction of men did not even look. She had her own meaning in life – her Sarah.
Sara grew up a spoiled child. When she turned 17 years old, she generally fell apart. Even Julia tried to talk sense into her niece, but nothing worked. The young girl was turning into a drunkard and a girl on the loose. The girl was lost!
Somehow she ran away from home altogether. Julia and her sister looked for her all over town – they found her in some brothel. But she refused to go home. She only came back when she gave birth to Anna. She brought a squeaky cradle and handed it to her mother. And then she left, only to leave her daughter’s papers. What was there to do? What about work?
– Give it up. You have money, and I’ll send you,” Julia said.
Over time Julia noticed that her sister had completely withered away. She started dragging her to doctors, who diagnosed her with cancer. She quickly set about the inheritance, to make it all to her granddaughter and sister. Sara even at her mother’s funeral did not appear.
And so Julia became a grandmother, not having any of her own grandchildren. Anna became a ray of light in a dark tunnel for her. But most of all she was afraid that Sara would come and want to take the girl away. A neighbor told her that he had seen her on social networking sites, had been in jail twice, and was wandering the world in search of a fifth corner.
Anna never asked who her mother was. She was afraid, too, that this evil woman wouldn’t take her away from her grandmother Julie. But one day she wrote that she wanted to see her daughter, so the old woman’s nightmares began.
In the morning, Sarah was already on the doorstep. She looked, to put it mildly, not good. She hugged her daughter and went into the kitchen. She had not even brought Anna anything – she came empty-handed.
– Well, forgive me! – she mumbled.
Anna nodded her head and went to her room. And then Sarah called her aunt outside. Say, we need to talk.
– I’m in trouble now, I need money. Mom left you the house, but that’s not fair. I will leave if you give me at least ⅓ of the money back.
Julia showed her the documents and told her that nothing belonged to her here. She gave her a few thousand rubles and asked her to leave. She did so, but threatened Yulia with a lawsuit.
When Yulia came back, Anna was crying:
– My granddaughter, what happened? Are you frightened?
– No, I’m just glad I have you! What would have happened to me if it weren’t for you,” answered Anna.
