When I met this young man, he wasn’t doing too well or too badly. He seemed so bright and hopeful that I got involved with him and we got married.
I wrote about how helpful he is to me and my kids the other day. Helping me in so many ways and, most importantly, pushing me to keep studying and always being ready to take care of family duties, especially those that are expected of women in Africa.
Today, I’m asking you all to pray and thank this amazing man again on my behalf because he gave me a million dollars for my 30th birthday. When my husband asked me to pick up a form at the bank and sign it for an account on my birthday, I couldn’t believe it. In fact, it was like a dream until a few days ago, when the account was credited, and I said, “Wow, God really has blessed and honored me in a way I can’t thank him enough for.”
At the age of 23, I got married. I had a lot of hope for a better tomorrow, and now, more than six years later, I am overjoyed.
I pray that God will bless the things he makes more and more because he thinks of me and honors me both in small and big ways. Yes, I have always been a very good and helpful wife, and we both have responsibilities. When I was the only one with money, I would use it, and this man would thank me from the bottom of his heart.
And today, at 30 and counting, he treats me like gold. God bless marriages and make them what they should be. I pray that there will be a lot of good stories and that the time of people who beat their wives and kill them will be over. I’ve seen and benefited from a good marriage, so I know they do exist.
