Sarah had always been independent and pushy. She achieved everything on her own, made it into people and brought up an exemplary son. And, like, a perfect picture would have been formed, if not for misunderstanding, called “husband”. So she decided to get rid of that burden.
A three-room apartment immediately caught Victoria’s eye. The floor, the layout, the view from the windows – everything was perfect. Moreover, she herself was directly involved in the construction. She was a member of the MZhK and did a lot of hard work after work. Five years later she became the happy owner of the new property.
After the wedding the newlyweds lived with Victoria’s mother in a communal apartment. Her husband did not have his own place – he lived in a hostel. To get an apartment, she had to wait at least 15 years.
When Victoria found out that she was expecting a new addition, she thought about joining the housing company. She decided that her husband would actively participate in the construction while she was carrying their child. But he never showed up at the construction site! She had to postpone the plans until her son went to the nursery.
When the construction site was over, Victoria, her husband, and their son moved into a brand-new three-room apartment. It still smelled of paint and fresh whitewash. A year later Victoria’s mother died – a heart attack. So the woman was left without support, alone in the world. Her child was small, and there was no sense in waiting for support from her husband. He also got addicted to alcohol and got a real headache. So Victoria decided to divorce.
After a divorce her husband moved into a communal apartment, and Victoria in a two-room apartment. In general, the man was lucky, because before marriage he did not have anything at all. If he had not married, he would have settled for a bunk-bed.
Left without a wife, he began to drink more and more. He got so drunk that one day the doctors couldn’t save him. That’s when it all started happening. My son grew up. He went to college, served in the army, and moved into his father’s communal apartment. Took the girl he was going to marry there, too. Why? It’s about time! It’s my thirtieth birthday.
The young people were in no hurry to get married, they just lived together. The son loved his girlfriend, but she set him a condition: we will get married only when your mother agrees to exchange the apartments. It would be too rich for an old woman to live alone in a two-room mansion.
Victoria laughed, because she knew that her son was a copy of his father. No one can cheat, sneak around, trick her. She was not going to give her son an apartment, because she believed that he had already drawn the winning ticket. However, her son’s chosen one was sure she would succeed in “outsmarting” her potential mother-in-law. The poor woman is wasting her time, she does not know who she is dealing with.
Victoria already made a kind gesture after the wedding – she made repairs in the communal apartment, cleaned it, furnished it with new furniture. Now it was her time to wash her hands and live for herself. She deserves it. He looks at the arrogant girl and laughs. I wonder how long she’ll last?
