I don’t share my bed with my spouse is a phrase I often hear from older women

I always thought that in marriage, husband and wife always sleep together, but as it turned out it is not. Many people go to separate rooms for the night after years of marriage. This came as a big surprise to me.

I found this out after talking to women who are in their sixth decade. It turns out that they choose to sleep in their own room. They naturally go to their husband’s house to “sleep over” once in a while.

American researchers concluded the following verdict: a quarter of married couples do not share a bed for two, and sleep in different rooms.

This happens because of accumulated quarrels. So why can’t we just talk about the conflicts. Without moving to a different room?

There are times when this happens because of different work schedules of the spouses. For example, one of them interferes with the other to sleep, so you have to choose this way of solving. One reason is the interfering snoring of one of them. Each person needs personal space, which they create for themselves by simply choosing to sleep separately.

In many cases, sleeping separately even saves a marriage. If both husband and wife get a good night’s sleep, they will be in a good mood in the morning, which will help avoid a fight. In this way, romance and passion can be brought back.
