Husky stuck on roof kisses the firefighter who rescues him

In February, a house in Hancock County, Maine went up in flames. The homeowners were able to get out safely, but their dog was trapped inside. Thanks to the quick work of the firefighters on scene, they were able to save the pup’s life. And when it was all over, this little guy had quite a surprise for them!

After being reunited with his family, the dog ran straight up to the firefighters and gave each one of them a big hug! It’s clear that he was so grateful for their help – and who could blame him? These unsung heroes risk their lives every day to protect us all from harm. So kudos to this furry friend for recognizing their heroism!

According to Nawfel, the Husky was very friendly and didn’t put up a struggle. He speculates that it may have managed to get onto the roof via an open window or door on the upper story of the house.

After Nawfel and his team saved the dog, they took to social media to share photos of their heroic rescue. The post has since gone viral with over 4,600 likes and 1,000 shares. Dozens of people have commented on the post praising captain Nawfel for his good deed.

Smoke detectors are designed to detect smoke. They will not necessarily sound an alarm if there is carbon monoxide present and could even go off accidentally from cooking fumes.
