With my wife and I are together for 12 years – not a bad family history, right? At first everything was great, I worked, my wife took care of the house, gave me two wonderful kids – a daughter and a son.
Recently, I was promoted at work and the family income increased. It would seem – live and let happy. But trouble came from where not expected. My wife suddenly became addicted to soap operas. Oddly enough, she is watching everything from detective serials and Turkish romance stories to the now fashionable doramas (I myself, and the word is a word I have only recently learned).
It would be all right, I do not mind if my wife likes to relax in this way. But over time, the series began to take up absolutely all of her time. My wife has almost ceased to clean the house and cook. When I tell her about it, she offers to order ready-made meals, money permitting. So it is so, but eat this children every day?
In addition, she herself began to gain weight, due to the fact that all the time she spends behind a screen, and always snacking on something. I tried to distract her, offered to sign up together in the gym or the pool, but the answer is always the same: “I’m tired. From what, I ask you? Once I decided to shame her, hired a cleaner, they cleaned everything up. So the wife decided that now she didn’t have to do anything at all. Even to do with the children she always has no time: all the time taken up with precious soap operas.
I do not know how to get through to his wife. From a lively, interesting woman, whom I once loved, she turned into a limited clutch, whose only interest – the fate of the screen heroes. Often I have to return from work to load the washing machine or do homework with the children. My mother-in-law is completely on my wife’s side, though she used to think that I was not worthy of her daughter. So I can’t expect any help from that side either. Already thinking about divorce. I feel sorry for the children, they suffer most in this situation, of course. I don’t know what to do, and whether there is any way out.
