Dogs are not called “man’s best friend” for no reason. Dogs are known to be loyal, loving and social. They also know how to show their feelings and appreciation, without receiving anything in return, something we people need to learn from. When (SICSA), (Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals) in Ohio took in Rush the dog, he was in desperate need of love and companionship. All this little dog needed was a family or someone who cared.
The shelter staff began to notice a behavior that stood out in this dog. The animal was tending his bed every day, all by himself, something NTD reported. “Rush has made his bed every day hoping that some family would adopt him” writes the shelter on its Facebook page, along with a video showing the little dog.
In the video we see how caring and capable this dog is, in hopes that someone will want to adopt him. It’s fortunate that social networks have such strength when it comes to sharing things. The video of Rush tending his bed, did not take long to go viral, little time passed for him to become a celebrity and receive thousands of adoption requests. It was undoubtedly the best idea they could have had, as a couple came to the shelter determined to adopt Rush after seeing the video.
They wanted to meet Rush, were touched by his behavior in the video and when they arrived at the shelter they immediately fell in love with him. Fortunately, Rush got what he was longing for, a family that would give him a home full of love and understanding.
