This is one of the cutest things we’ve ever seen! The bond between these siblings is so strong, it’s just amazing.
From the day Brutus was welcomed into the family, he and Kayden started becoming close. The Australian shepherd would always follow his little brother around, never leaving him alone for a second. And when it came time for baby Kayden to begin crawling, Brutus was right there cheering him on every step of the way.
Now that they’re both mobile, these two can be found exploring their home together – or taking a nap side-by-side! It’s clear that this pup has been appointed as big brother and protector for young Kayden – and there’s no doubt they make an amazing team!
And they were right! From the moment Bonnie’s son was born, Brutus has been an incredible helper and guardian. In her words: “he watches him constantly and makes sure he is safe and happy. He always follows us around the house and yard when we are playing with our son, making sure that he doesn’t get into too much trouble. It melts my heart every time I see them together because it is so clear how much Brutus loves his baby brother.”
Bonnie and her son adopted Brutus from a shelter, and the dog has been glued to his human brother’s side ever since.

Kayden is soothed by Brutus’s presence and the soft toy he brings him, and soon calms down. It’s heartwarming to see how devoted Brutus is to taking care of his brother – it truly looks like nothing is too much trouble for him!
