Samantha and David grew up in a small town lost in the Russian expanse. They were in the same class, after graduating from school they went to the same university, later together they went to seek their happiness in the capital. There they rented a house and began to live in a civil marriage.
When Samantha told David that she would soon have a child, the beloved immediately said that his immediate plans did not include the birth of a child. After that, Samantha returned to her mother, they decided they would raise the baby together.
David’s mother held a high position in their hometown. The former mother-in-law told everyone and everyone that her son had nothing to do with this baby. Whoever Samantha got him pregnant, let her raise him with, and David had nothing to do with her child.
Pouring oil on the fire was also the fact that these two families lived in neighboring houses, so most of their mutual friends knew about the situation up to and including. When Samantha walked, she was the laziest person in the world who didn’t give her the slanted look and the backstabbing.
Then Samantha gave birth to a healthy little girl.
Neither Samantha nor her mother made any claims on her father or his family, but his mother continued to tell everyone that the baby was not her son’s.
– Think about it! – she would say. – The child has white hair, and she did not look pretty, and our children from infancy beauties, and this – no mouse, no frog! They want to be inbred! Yes, what do they take us for fools!
At one point, Samantha had run out of patience and suggested that David’s mother take a DNA test.
She did not want anything from the frustrated relatives, she just wanted to see their faces elongated with surprise. She did it! After David’s mother got a positive answer the next morning she called Samantha and suggested that she and her daughter come to her house so she could meet her beautiful daughter.
During the meeting, Samantha’s mother-in-law was given a huge number of gifts. The girl did not know how to thank the suddenly appeared relatives, because they gave her daughter expensive and high quality things that she could not afford to buy.
A week later, her mother-in-law called again and asked to let her granddaughter play with her for a few days. However, Samantha explained that her daughter was too young to spend the night at her grandmother’s house on her own. If the grandmother wanted, she could see her granddaughter, but only in the presence of her mother.
My mother-in-law took offense and said that she would think about it.
A few days later, the mother-in-law called again and said that she had decided to file a lawsuit in court to establish a mode of communication with her granddaughter.
You yourself should understand that the granddaughter would be better off with a well-to-do grandmother than with a poor mother. And then she said that it would be better for her if she gave them her daughter of her own free will. Samantha was well aware that only a madman in their town could sue David’s mother.
It is clear that the mother wholeheartedly stood up for her child. The next few years were spent in litigation. For unknown reasons the child who quite recently was not wanted by anybody became necessary to all. The family was ready to fight for him to the last drop of blood.
Gradually, however, passions around the baby subsided. When David got married, his grandmother turned her fervor to her new grandchildren. Samantha found a job in the capital, and after a while she met a man there and they began an affair.
Then Samantha and her mother decided that she needed to arrange her personal life, and she would take her daughter later.
Gradually, Samantha’s personal life got better, they rented their own place with that man, applied to the registry office, and now they are expecting a child together. However her mother does not hurry to take her daughter. It turns out that she has no place in her mother’s family.
Samantata’s mother is not doing well with her health, from time to time she is taken away by ambulance, and at this time her granddaughter is looked after by her retired friend.
David’s mother has no claims on her granddaughter now, because her son already has children in a new family and she gives them her love. And her father never had any special paternal feelings for his daughter.
It so happened that the girl, for which a few years ago the war raged for life and death left no one wanted. Only God knows how the little girl’s life will turn out now!
