The calf’s mother is trying to tell the humans that the concrete block her baby is stuck in, was put there on purpose by people. The Thai villagers who heard the elephant’s cries quickly came to try and help free the calf however they could. With teamwork, they were finally able to get him out of there! This amazing story just goes show you that elephants are not only gentle giants but also intelligent creatures with a lot of compassion.
The elephant’s intentions were not clear to the people at first. It is only after she passed out from getting too close to the electric fence that they realized she was trying to lead them to her baby who had gotten trapped.
Finally, they were able to free the calf and it was safe! The relieved rescuers lifted the baby elephant carefully into a truck and took her to an animal sanctuary, where she will be able to live in peace.
