At her twenty-four, Anna was a classic example of a BFF, which means divorced and with a trailer: she had already been married twice and was raising a little girl on her own. Apart from everything else she had her own one-bedroom apartment in the center of the city.
Parents of her husband did not leave Anna and helped her in every way they could, and their granddaughter they did not cherish. That evening Anna left the baby with her in-laws, and she went to the dentist for a consultation. On her way back, a young man approached her and started to pester her with questions, but the girl had no desire to talk to him. When the guy got off at the same stop as her, Anna even got scared and to get rid of him she went into the nearest store. The man followed her. Anna began to furtively examine her pursuer: the guy was well dressed, and he did not look like a marginal personality. Then the stranger came up to Anna and offered to help her carry bags of groceries home. The young people got to talking:
– I’m William, what’s your name? – Sergey asked the boy.
– Anna – the girl modestly replied.
– I am pleased to meet you. You’re a beautiful woman, and why do you carry the bags yourself? And where is your husband? – William began to probe the ground.
– Not even planning to, – despite the fact that Anna agreed to help, the guy did not cause her sympathy.
– And I’ve always been convinced that all girls dream of getting married, – said his companion with a smile.
– Only those who have never been there before want to get married,” replied the girl.
– I’m completely confused, are you married or not? – William asked me again.
– I’m divorced, I have a little girl, – Anna admitted.
– I sincerely sympathize with you. Can I invite you to the park tomorrow for a walk? – said William .
– I walk every day with my daughter – tried as quickly as possible to get rid of her boyfriend.
But William was persistent, and she gave in to him. At the same moment, Anna saw her mother-in-law with her daughter and felt uncomfortable. Now my husband’s mother will think that I did not go to the doctor, and dealt with their personal affairs, and that she is not worried about the breakup with her husband.
Anna said goodbye to her beau and approached her mother-in-law with her daughter. The girl began to justify herself and explain that she was seeing this guy for the first time in her life, but she was beaten by her:
– My girl is your life, I had nothing bad in mind. If you meet a decent man and get married, I’ll always be on your side.
– In the next hundred years, I am not going to get married,” said the girl, and she did not even suppose that it would not be long before she would marry William. However, at that moment she was thinking about the unusual question of her new acquaintance and understood that he had asked her the question for a reason.
At that very moment I said to Anna.
– I think there’s a discrepancy in your story!
– What’s that? That I lied about living with my mother and not having a place of my own? But in spite of that, he still asked me out? However, there is a catch! – Anna shared.
– No, I do not understand why your mother-in-law helped and supported you all this time? – I can’t understand it.
– So that’s a totally different story!
