The group of friends were enjoying a day out on their boat when they spotted something strange floating in the water. It was a dog, swimming all alone in the middle of the ocean! They quickly sailed over to rescue him and pulled him onto the boat. The poor dog looked exhausted and scared.
It’s unclear how long the dog had been swimming for or where he came from. He may have fallen off a boat or gotten lost while hiking along the coastline. Thankfully, he was safely rescued by these good Samaritans!
“The dog swam over to our boat and I automatically started recording! It was so cute. The guy who jumped in the water to save the dog, his name is Cash,” @bryncrowell wrote on Twitter. “My friends and I were just out enjoying a nice day on the boat when we spotted this poor little pup swimming for its life…We thought it was some weird marine creature at first but then we realized it was just a lost doggo. So one of my friends jumped in and saved him :).”

“I just happened to look over and there was this little dog swimming alongside the boat, trying to keep up. We pulled him on board and noticed he had a collar so we knew somebody was probably looking for him,” one of the boaters said in an interview with Fox News.
“It was a moment of happiness and relief that we had found our dog,” said Zuko’s grateful owner.

The Crowells said they were grateful their pet was safe and happy to have him back home.
The relieved owners thanked the firefighters for their help, and said they will keep a better eye on their little Zuko from now on.
The owners also contacted their veterinarian, who put out a call to area vets in case anyone happened to bring the dog in. But sadly, no one did. And so for six days and nights, Tucker traveled up and down the river without food or water before he was finally spotted by some fishermen on May 21st.
