“If it wasn’t for Toby, Amos would be lost,” says his human mom Alicia. “Toby has been a huge help to Amos in so many ways and they are the best of friends. From going on walks together to playing fetch – they do everything together! It’s wonderful to see them interact and play as if Amos can see perfectly well – because that is how Toby sees him.”
Now, Amos is six years old and Jess has never stopped loving him. In fact, she always loved fostering animals and had been considering to open up her own rescue center one day. But when an opportunity comes knocking at her door, Jess finds herself in a difficult position: should she leave Amos behind to follow her dream or stay with the dog that’s become the most important part of her life?
“It was so amazing to see Toby be such a GOOD BIG BROTHER and show Amos the ropes,” Jess said.
The canine siblings quickly became best friends and inseparable. Jess said she could not imagine her life without Amos by her side, now that he is a permanent member of the family.
One day, when Toby and Amos were out for a walk in the park, they found something truly amazing. Lying on the grass was a big green ball! Amos had never seen anything like it before. He wagged his tail with excitement and started to play fetch with Toby. It was so much fun! Even though Amos struggles with some things, he still knows how to have a good time. The devoted dog has even been known to put his own body on the line to shield Amos from danger, and Jess said the two are practically inseparable.
“If I am not around or if he is feeling scared or lonely, Toby will always be there for him,” she said.
