Baby seal accidentally scares a polar bear cub in cutest wildlife footage

Experts say that the seal, who is around 10 weeks old, was likely practicing for its upcoming migration and “probably didn’t even know the polar bear was there.” The little cub quickly darts away after spotting the massive predator looming before it.

As the bears began to cross a frozen stretch of water, the ice cracked and one of the cubs found itself in trouble. Immediately mother bear rushed to help her baby, but unfortunately it was too late.

The freezing water had already taken its toll and the little polar bear was dead. In an upsetting turn of events, mother bear then carried her lifeless cub’s body around for several miles before finally abandoning it on snow-covered ground.

Bears, being one of nature’s finest predators, are known to be excellent hunters. Cubs learn how to stalk and kill prey from their mothers at a very young age. This video follows the struggles of an inexperienced polar bear cub as it tries its hardest to keep up with its mother during a seal hunt on the glacier.

This clumsy little cub not only fails in catching any seals but also gets scolded by its mom for not doing her part properly! What makes this whole situation even more hilarious is that despite all of his blunders, the little guy just can’t help but continue trying

The video was captured by photographer Inna Trehvat in Norilsk, Russia. She explained that the little cub appeared fearless while hunting for food but got scared when it came across the baby seal.

The little bear can be seen sprinting towards its mom after the seal pops up, and the adult polar bear is just as excited to have caught prey with her cub. They both enthusiastically eat the seal together in a heartwarming display of family bonding.
