An ambulance brought a pregnant girl to the maternity ward late at night. She was no more than twenty, had to come unscheduled, to the maternity hospital straight from the train, so she had no documents with her. All she could provide was a passport, but she said she was registered for pregnancy.
The necessary examinations and tests were taken quickly, but things were not so clear with ultrasound. Since it was at night, it was rather problematic to make it, we didn’t have time to do anything. The contractions started.
The doctor saw two heartbeats, asked the girl about the ultrasound, but she could not confirm anything, because the ultrasound had no time to do. However, it turned out that this is the second pregnancy, at that time she had already had triplets and a half. So the possibility of twins was enormous.
Strong contractions forced the entire medical team in the delivery room to gather in a second, the first baby came without complications, loudly marking his arrival. The mother was not allowed to rest, with the next exertions came the second boy, only ten minutes apart.
While everyone was rejoicing over the twins and slowly taking a breath, the doctor noticed that the surprises didn’t end there. He let his colleagues know and made the team get ready for the birth of the third baby. Before the mother could get her bearings, a third baby boy was born, just as big and loud as his brothers. This was the first time in their long practice that they had seen such a healthy triplet and no complications in the birth. The happy mother of triplets immediately decided to tell her husband the happy news.
He arrived at short notice, although he was in their hometown, two hundred kilometers from the hospital. The happy family celebrated with cakes and flowers. The father was incredibly happy with the news, because now their family had not only a half-and-a-half-year-old girl, but three whole sons.
