Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of having a daughter. Every New Year I made a wish that she would be just as beautiful.
And now I’ve grown up. If my first daughter had been born, I would not have dared to have another pregnancy. If a second daughter had been born, I definitely wouldn’t have gone on a third trip. But my grandmother prophesied that I should have a girl. And she was never wrong. Until a certain time.
The third pregnancy was different – even the toxicosis showed up. I hoped this was it. I was already dreaming about telling my husband we were having a girl. Already on the Internet about the heartbeat read – everything converged, should be a girl.
But the ultrasound showed a boy! Right after the screening, I met my mom’s friend.
– Do you know the sex yet?
– Yes.
– I see you’re not happy.
– Don’t make it up. The main thing is that the baby is healthy and the tests are good.
– Yeah, so it’s a boy again, – she laughed.
A ton of sympathy fell on me, because all the grandparents were waiting for a girl. My father-in-law still refers to my belly as “Emma.” There are those who try to comfort me, although I do not need it. They say, but toys and clothes do not have to buy.
If you knew how I would like to splurge on dresses and dolls! Bows and elastic bands… I filtered my social circle because of this. People who mind their own business piss me off. I personally don’t care who’s having babies, as long as they’re healthy babies. I have beautiful sons, and I don’t like them any less because they weren’t born girls.
I’m glad I’m going to have three sons. And sad that I don’t have a daughter.
Perhaps my dream will remain a dream. But that’s no reason to be sad. We’ll build a pirate ship and play war games. And also in my bedroom will be more Lego, because the guys just love it.
But what protection I have growing! I do not want my surroundings make me feel inferior. What’s your advice? What should I say to people like that?
