“The young man said he enjoyed playing with the kitten but was worried it would get run over or starve to death if he left it alone,” Jenny told Love Meow.

Jenny drove out to the park and brought the tabby kitten back to her rescue center. Now, this little lost kitty follows his rescuers around all day long and sticks close by at night too. He is so grateful for being saved that he won’t let them out of sight!
“He loves cuddles and sleeps on my bed at night.” Jenny said. “It’s very sweet.”
After taking care of the little one, Jenny named him ‘George’. She then set out to find a family that would take good care of her new furry friend George.

A few days later, Gordon began to show signs of illness. The veterinarian determined that he had contracted a serious case of feline leukemia and there was no cure.
Gordon passed away peacefully in his foster mom’s arms on October 11th surrounded by those who loved him most.
Gordon clearly enjoys the company of his people, while Tom seems content to be on his own.
Gordon’s foster parents started to notice that he always seemed happiest when they were holding him. They also realized that the tabby preferred sleeping on them rather than any of his other bedding options in the house. As a result, Gordon was given free reign over their laps – and he often took advantage of this by snoozing right through nap time!

The two of them would sunbathe together on the balcony, Jenny always making sure to give her new friend plenty of love and pets. Gordon seemed to really enjoy it, always winding himself around Jenny’s arms and purring away.
Gordon was abandoned by his previous family and is now being fostered by the Jennys while they search for a permanent home. He has become very attached to them, following them around constantly and purring when he’s near. Jenny said “He just wants someone to love him.”

This little guy is an active explorer who loves to investigate everything around him, from his surroundings to the people and animals he meets. Gordon has a big personality for such a small pup and will make sure everyone knows it!
This weekend, the tabby and Rita will be introduced to one another.
“He has a very calming presence,” said Ruth.
