A friend of mine ended up in the hospital with a now-familiar illness. The form was complicated – two lungs were affected. During her hospital stay, she was fired from her job. When she finally came home, no one demanded that she immediately look for a job. Moreover, the situation in the country was difficult, and everyone was clinging to their jobs with their teeth. It is impossible to find a job at a good firm, to go to the supermarket as a cashier after the disease does not allow. This is why her friend quietly looked for something related to her profession, at the same time being engaged in the comfort of her home.
It was then that she decided since she was sitting at home, she would do general cleaning while there was time. She began to clear away the clutter on the computer desk and found a notebook. This item surprised her, because she had never had it at home before. Who knows what’s in it, and what if the phone numbers and addresses of lovers. She opened the notebook, and a pile of checks poured out. But on each page in her husband’s handwriting was written down every purchase: face cream, vitamin D, injections (2 sessions).
My friend’s hands trembled. She realized that all her husband’s purchases for her had been meticulously recorded by him personally and totaled with the others. Periodically they were summed up, and thus her friend learned that she owed almost 100,000 at this point. All of her medical expenses, even some of her groceries, were written down in this notebook!
I was amazed at my friend’s restraint. She did not call my beloved at once and yell into the tube, did not put laxatives in the roast, and just quietly waited until he returned from work.
