A man goes to his local animal shelter and finds that all of the dogs have been adopted. Although he is disappointed, he is glad that the animals have found loving homes.

“I drove to the Richmond Animal League and offered to take in one of their animals. The staff eagerly agreed, and I was able to bring home a sweet dog named Rascal.”
He picked her up and they walked out of the shelter together. When they got home, he placed Marbles on his bed next to him and she curled right up against him. That was all it took – Brian had found his new best friend.
After adopting her, he learned that the shelter staff had nicknamed her Cinnamon because of the cinnamon-colored markings on her back.
Picture this: You are out and about, looking for your new best friend. You see a cute little puppy in the window of a pet store and you just know you have to have him! However, when you get home with your new furry friend, he is much more work than you anticipated. He chews up everything in sight, barks incessantly at every noise he hears outside and never seems tired or content. Sound familiar?

Now imagine selecting instead a beautiful cat from the animal shelter. She isn’t as demanding as a pup requires; she’s independent enough to amuse herself but also loving enough to cuddle up next to you on the couch. Best of all, no potty training required! This is exactly what happened for one lucky guy who decided that getting a feline was better suited for his lifestyle – Barb ended up being an amazing addition (and changed her name accordingly).

Barb and Rupert have been a wonderful addition to our family. We are grateful that they have been able to find such a loving home together. Thank you for helping us bring them into our lives!
