Russel’s human caretaker, Ginjer Buchanan, had this to say about Russel’s visits:
“He makes everyone feel good. He’s so loving and affectionate with people and other animals. When he’s not cuddling in bed with you, he’s walking around making sure everyone is okay.”
Russell began assisting other patients after becoming a permanent resident at the veterinary clinic. He is always willing to lend a helping hand, and his cheerful attitude makes everyone around him smile!
The unidentified veterinarian says that the dog, a black lab mix named Leo, has been working at the clinic for about six months andauga.
“He just likes to be around them, and he seems to have a calming effect on them. We don’t know how he does it, but patients seem to relax in his presence.”
Russell will continue to need your support as he undergoes rehab, and we hope that you will keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Many cats are solitary animals that don’t need the company of others, but this cat enjoys being around other animals.
He is a rock star in this place. Everybody is excited to see him. We would be happy to have him as our clinic’s mascot.
