This amazing story happened to me a few years ago. We were vacationing in the woods with a large group of friends in the countryside. And as As usual: we sang songs, ate delicious barbecue, presented on the grapevine and all that stuff. And it just so happens that one of our guys brought a comrade with him, a man nobody knew. The strange thing was that he had somehow slipped in unnoticed in our company.
We drank, we walked, some of the guys even tried to sing to a disturbed guitar – we were having as much fun as we could.
So, this stranger liked my friend Helena – a very pretty, perky and cheerful girl. And what to hide, her figure was a real eye-catcher – it is not for nothing that she visited different fitness gyms.
Thomas followed Helena around all evening. Surprisingly, in his almost forty years, he did not say a word in her direction. He just walked around sniffling – it was probably because he was extremely shy. And so the evening passed. Everyone went home happily, and I temporarily forgot the unsuccessful courtship of my friend.
Everything continued the next day, when Helena came to her workplace. So she sat doing her daily chores in her warehouse until her supervisor, accompanied by some lady, walked in on her. He greeted Helena, and after inviting his guest to sit on a chair, silently, and without any explanation, he left, closing the door behind him.
– Hello, Helena. I’m Thomas’s mother. – She introduced herself. Helena, meanwhile, had already forgotten all about her fleeting acquaintance that and so she sat there in utter bewilderment.
– My darling told me about you,” and Thomas’s mother went on, – and I made some inquiries about you.
Which was quite easy to do, for the town we live in is very and almost everybody knows each other.
– Your relatives are decent, and in case of need they will help you. And you have your own place, of course, a pity that it’s not big. But thanks to that. After that you’ll be able to buy a vegetable garden somewhere outside the city, and then to start a farm. And I talked to your bosses, who speak very flatteringly of you.
It turns out that on these points you suit us. It is true that he did not say anything about the amount of your income, but we think it is all right,” the woman said as she looked at Helena from head to toe.
My friend, in turn, looked at the woman and almost seriously thought that her new acquaintance was clearly not all at home. Although perhaps before, she had something badly poisoned, and that’s actually why she started such visions. That’s creepy.
– All right, honey. I’m gonna go home now, and we’ll talk about the wedding together. Also, if you guys decide before the wedding, just so you know, I’m cool with it. It’s a young thing, no matter how you look at it. And you probably want kids just as much as my boy. He’s in his fourth decade, and you’re still young. And you’d better not drag it out, your parents are elderly – soon they won’t be able to help you anymore.
And was already leaving, leaving behind a completely dumbfounded friend:
– I’ll tell him to meet you after work, honey. You’re working till six today, aren’t you?
– Please don’t bother, I’m working till late tonight, my friend began to pull herself together, – you go, I’ll call him myself.
And so they said goodbye.
Of course Helena was not going to call anyone. And on top of that, just in case. She even went out of town for a couple of days to a friend’s house. She changed her number. And then tried in every way possible and impossible to avoid to be out of the public eye. No joke, because there was such a fiancé.
There is, of course, something to smile about. But Helena was clearly not in the mood to joke. Yes, there are some strange people.
